299 years ago, a soldier reported that an unknown army, composed of redskin creatures, made its way towards Imperia, our new city. We had been building it for one year. We had many casualties due to the battle of the great invasion. The kings met and decided that the enemy should be intercepted in the woods, at the foot of the mountain, as being more numerous and that it was a mountain pass, it would be easier to stop their advance. The problem was that Imperia could not be left completely unprotected, so they decided that only two of the seven kings with their full armies would go to this new battle.
King Carnei, mace fighting grand master, and king Aurei, close combat grand master, decided to go to war. Both kings moved with all their soldiers, their archers, their best catapults, heavy horses and war elephants.
The battle was far easier than expected. They attacked us from the mountains with catapults and archers, but the forest protected us, our units were untouchable. Our army responded with a storm of arrows and rocks, causing many enemy casualties. Because of their great inefficiency, they decided to throw flaming rocks and arrows. Our troops were forced back. Since their dire weapons did not have enough range, they began sending hundreds of soldiers into the forest. The truth is that our army was 5 or 6 times lower in number.
Then, the great king Carnei, with its glorious war hammer, mounted on his elephant, charged with his war elephants unit, called "Imperial Force", breaking lines and lines of redskin defenses. The redskins, totally demoralized, began to flee, and in that moment, the king Aurei, with his heavy cavalry unit called "The Raiders", pursued them to take them to hell.
It is said that their leader, named Morkha, ordered the total retreat of his troops into the mountains.
The battle, it is true that it caused many human casualties, although being an army 5 or 6 times lower in number, it was a great victory.
Since then, we remember our ancestors who died in the Battle of Morkha, which in this forest and in this mountain stopped the redskin army, and we remind our children and grandchildren that if they want to live, they must never go there.
We've never heard of them again and nobody has dared to venture beyond the edge of the woods, but we know they are there, waiting for a new opportunity.
