Tutorial
Introduction
Pandimus is a game that features a lot of stat-tweaking and building your character, while exploring and questing in a fantastic world. Some of these elements of the game may seem a bit daunting for new players, but this tutorial will help you as much as possible.
Getting started - Character creation
Upon creating your account and starting the game, you will be guided through a wizard to create your character. Your screen will look like this:
Name: Here you enter the name for your hero. Be creative and make an interesting name. Your name is the best representation of you.
Race: Your race or species. Currently, only Human is available but more will come.
Gender: Male or female?
Type: Are you a Warrior or a Mage? This is the first split, determining what class you are.
Subtype: The final determination of your class. More information can be found in the classes part of this tutorial.
Getting started - Classes
Every class in Pandimus has its strengths and weaknesses determined by its stats. It's important to know that in the end, Pandimus has no fixed classes. Because the stats determine your skills, changing your stats changes those. This gives a lot of freedom to create your own character as you want. Feel like you want to use swords with your dark magic? Just raise your swordsmanship at the cost of a stat you don't need.
Don't worry, for the new players, the game offers 7 basic templates to choose from, determined from your type and subtype.
Here is a list of every subtype:
Playing the game - The drill camp
When you first start playing the game, you will find yourself in the drill camp, getting steamed ready for the real world. Be sure to follow the quests by clicking the exclamation
marks. When you want to complete the quest, a question mark will be above that object:
. In this tutorial zone, you will receive a starter weapon. Equip it by dragging it from your bag into the fitting slot in your description panel.
Keep following the quest line until you get out of the starter zone.
Note: During the questline, you will be asked to go to the Strong Woods. This area is the screen to the west of the Drill Camp.
Playing the game - Imperia
Once you complete the tutorial zone, you will find yourself in Imperia, the main human stronghold and questhub. Imperia has several facilities as listed in the Buildings page. The quests here will take you into the Ruins of Ux'kal to hold back the malign spirits.
Imperia is also the place where you will start seeing more other players.
Hints and tips
-Ajax errors are still quite common in this stage of the game. If you find yourself unable to progress with an action, relogging will fix it most of the time.
-If you get stuck and relogging does not help, ask a moderator to unlock you.
-Elites are the best source of stats and loot. Get a party together and smash that boss.
-New zones unlock every battle rank, be sure to check them out!
-Before fighting a new monster, it's always wise to view it. That way, you can know if you're a match for it.
-Some monster are handled better with different skills. Try building different attack rotations for different monsters.
-If you are unsure how something works, hover over the
signs in most windows.
-Use the portals
to get from zone to zone.
-Even when you aren't playing you can advance your character.
Missions are good for 8 hours (or 12) and increases your Attributes and an item reward relative to your level.
Working in the Blacksmith, Tailor or Goldsmith's Workshop can last up to 4 hours and earns you some gold.
Auto-Fight is good to get some monster kills and some item rewards and Attributes increases. It lasts up to 15 minutes for free players, 1 hour for premium or even larger amounts when spending gems.
Conclusion
Once you get to Imperia and did some quests in the Ruins of Ux'kal, you'll get more and more comfortable with the game. Players who have further questions can search this wiki, ask their questions on the forums or ingame. I hope this small guide was helpful to those who read it.
