Wald Corpse
The Wald Corpse is an NPC found in the Desolated Fields of Deep Morkha.
Description
Strange creature... It appears that the center of his body stores some stamina source, something magical. I think it is his wisdom, his mind, I can see and understand his life stages. It appears that these strange creatures keep their knowledge to share with next generations.
Let's see what I can understand...
"I see a lot of fire in the forest, at the foot of the mountain. I approach the area with other Walds. Dead Erders and Humans I see. Hundreds of Erder soldiers descend the mountain. In front, the forest is full of damn humans destroying trees. I come with thousands of Walds behind me. They are destroying the forest. The Erders have thrown giant stones from the mountain with catapults, some wrapped in fire. Burned trees around me. My hatred for both grows. The hatred of all my race too. I see hundreds of arrows covering the sky. The Erders shoot many arrows. Many humans are shot down. Humans fall out. An enormous sound. It's a war trumpet. Human heavy cavalry appears. Enormous drums sound. Human war elephants appear. It seems that they will charge with all those horses and war elephants against the Erders. A wald tells me that we can not attack yet. They are too many in sum.
The human war elephants charge. Carnei, human king, is on an elephant. They raze the entire first line of Erder infantry. They crush them, breaking their defense. The horses of war charge. Aurei, human king, he rides a horse. They penetrate to the third row of infantry. They killed many Erders. Lots of blood. Many trees dotted and broken.
I hear a loud roar from the mountain. The Erders ride raptors. These raptors are stolen from lizard men, our exterminated allies. Riding one of these raptors is Morkha, Erder Warlord and main leader. I fear that more vegetation will be destroyed. My fears come true. We can not act yet, they would exterminate us. Their mounts are too strong and they still have weapons with fire. We have to wait until they kill each other.
The Erders cannot kill the two human kings. Many Erders fall. Carnei does not stop crushing Erders with his warhammer and Aurei does the same with his dagger and his ripper.
Morkha goes towards the two kings. He knocks them over. Morkha gets off his raptor. Morkha carries a battleaxe in each hand. Morkha is too strong for the two kings. The human army is almost annihilated.
Mentally, I receive the signal to attack, and we attack the Erders. Humans flee on their own. Our magic is too powerful for so few Erders. Morkha is about to kill the two kings. I turn toward him with an Ancient Wald and several other defenders. Morkha just saw us. His face shows fear, a lot of fear. Morkha gets on his raptor and flees. The two kings are unconscious on the floor. Morkha orders the retreat of his troops into the mountains.
The few survivor humans catch Carnei and Aurei, unconscious, and flee.
I hear the sound of a catapult. I see a giant rock two meters from here which is directed towards me."
